Looking for teammates, anyone interested?

Hey there, folks! Well, I'm looking for teammates this time around. I figure that it'll help me get things done if I have others depending on my input. :)

Anyone want to join up?

If you don't mind having a beginner as a team member, I want to form a team.
Hi,
i want to join. I participated for the first time last year and now i want to try something more ambitious.
Hello Akake,
I want to join. though im a beginner at python
Akake, have you worked on a team before? I ask because I find that one of the main challenges of working on a team is staying motivated when you don't "buy into" the game idea. I know this is a big issue for you in particular, so I'm wondering how you tackled it on a team? If you have any hints, they'd probably be really useful to other teams as well.

At PAX I saw a game designer say that half of his job was convincing the rest of his team that he's not insane. And of course you rarely have time for that during PyWeek.
@Cosmologicon:

I've never worked on a team before, but PyWeek gives me a good chance to try it out. Part of the reason that I want to have a team is so that I can hopefully stick to an idea. Having others committed to that idea will hopefully keep me going in rough spots. At least, that's the theory.

@Ernie:

If you like, I'll happily add you to my entry. Sound good?

@Natsu:

Beginners have to start somewhere. I'm happy to teach a bit as I go. :)
If you're up to it, I'd be glad to have you aboard!

@Yousuf:

Between Ernie and Natsu, I've got two teammates. I think that's enough for be. I appreciate the offer, though.
Yeah sounds good.
We need to coordinate over Skype or so.
btw: in which timezone are you located?; it could get a little bit complicated to schedule communication.
So long.
I wouldnt mind working in a team . I have competed once before in PYWEEK and in Ludum Dare so i am a beginnet.
@Ernie:
Skype is a problem for me. I've been unable to get my microphone to work with it. That's a no-go for me, sorry. (it's not you, it's my crappy hardware drivers)

@debarraGaming:
A fellow LD vet! (I'm MrDude/Henry McLaughlin there) I'd be happy to have you aboard.

So...

I'm happy to coordinate over IRC, but any VoIP is beyond my reach due to hardware problems.

I live in the Eastern US timezone, by the way. Should've mentioned that.

It looks like natsu and debarraGaming right now. I'm waiting for word back from you two. :)
@Akake and everyone else If you're okay with it, I agree being in your team, the more people, the better! My microphone isn't working, so I can't use Skype. What about a Google group?
I register my own entry as it is unclear wether i will have enough time. Maybe next time.
@Natsu

I'll go ahead and add you to the entry, then. :)
Ah, now that I think of it...

@Natsu, how do you want to share code? I'd probably want to look at github. We'd kind of need a way to do that.

If that's too much... we might want to reconsider.
If there's any room left I'd like to join :)

I haven't used pygame or pyglet before but I'm pretty okay with python and I've finished at least one game jam game in a team.
I haven't started it yet. I tried to contact Akake but I had no success so far. You can find me on Twitter @idiomajapones
Aw, sorry to see you guys haven't submitted an entry. Next time try to join someone who has a track record of submitting finished games. I'd recommend myself but I'm in Europe. It would work better with someone in your time zone.
For what it's worth, unless you can't program, I don't recommend anybody join a team for their first game competition. You think that working in a team is going to be a great learning experience, but that's rarely the case. You'll probably learn a lot more trying to do it by yourself.
