The best way to not miss pyweek

So, this being my first pyweek experience I'm not sure how this works so I have to ask; how do I make sure not to miss the next one? Since I'm registered on the site now I'm hoping an email notice gets sent out before the competition. If not I guess I just have to hope I catch the announcement somewhere, as I don't always remember to check back at the pyweek or pygame websites that often.

It was fun this time around; I've been wanting to do one for a while and never managed to catch it before; I only hope next time I have a bit more time to invest.

Well, it should be the last week of march or the first week or two of April, depending on how the schedule falls, so you can at least know the general time that way.

Also, yes, I think richard was doing an email, but for some reason I only get them sporadically at best any more, so I'm not sure if he is still doing it...

So mostly just check back periodically for the dates, they are released about 1 1/2 months in advance usually. :) And hope you get an email reminder :P
No, I don't send emails out announcing pyweeks to users of the site. I (and others) announce the challenge at least a month beforehand on pygame.org, python.org, python mailing list, pygame mailing list, python announcements mailing list, planet.python.org, linuxgames.com, gamedev.net, and a ton of other sites I've forgotten right now.

And as RB[0] says, the challenges are pretty predictable: first week of April and first week of September.

I'll just have to do a better job of keeping an eye out then :D
