Diary Entries

First day, no coding but some ideas for this afternoon

Yesterday was a long day in which no coding was possible, after a long saturday night. Fortunately this was in my plan, nothing unexpected.

But there was time to think about what I'm building. So, this afternoon I will write the first lines and I hope the first pictures will be available :-)

Let's see. I'm looking forward to start coding...

The idea of the game is ready - Anacleto, the escapee roster

Well, no coding yet, but I have the idea to develop the next days.

Anacleto, a rooster in a farm, heard the farmer talking about getting ride of him. Just a few hours, something must be done to survive. Then, Anacleto decides to start a one way trip to anywhere but the farm where his days are numbered.

Here a small draft about how the game should look at the end of the challenge:

Next days I will have more time, than the last 2, so, I hope it is enough time :-)

Cross your fingers!!!

Some steps ahead and first screenshot

Ey, after the first days just thinking and drawing by hand, now it was time for coding and some art work (yesterday and today)
Here the first screenshot:

A simple estructure with a menu and introduction is done, and the game starts looks better.

Now it is time to use pymunk for first time. I hope that my needs are simple and it won't take too much time. will it be true? ;)

Slow but constant development - barely in time

Uffff, now the scrolling seems to work (after some gooblings making the code fail) and now I have more or less clear how to use pymunk for my porpuses.
I hope during this afternoon I will be able to adjust the parameters to make it playable and funny and put more screenshots here; also spend the whole day tomorrow improving some graphics and fixing details...

Dreaming is free :-)
