Great idea, greatly executed. I only wish it was a little smoother, but since I'm on a netbook, I should probably blame my own cpu for that.

There's also some sort of memory leak for me on Linux, so it crashes after playing for a while. But who cares, bugs happen. And this game is smart enough to continue where I last left off, without explicitly saving (even after a crash!), so that's awesome.

Really rather good. I just wish it was resizeable

An addictive toy.

Astounding. The design is well constructed, and the implementation is solid. The pace is
tolerant of RTS/TD nubs (like me) while progressively challenging.

The user interface is accessible. Showing the hex grid during placement is a great example of
this.

I did not see any balance issues, which is an impressive feat in itself. Being able to trash
parts easily really opens up the game so your management and creativity are not cramped by a
random and confining supply of parts. And the new parts delay limits spam-trashing--not a
severe penalty, yet not insignificant.

The tips are great fun. The dummy speech effectively draws me into Obb's head. :D I read in the
journal that you felt Obb's speech was uninspired. That's okay! It conveyed a persona, and I am
a huge fan of quirky character.

This is one of those games that are so well done I think: Damn...I wish I had thought of that! :)
Very, very nice job, Cosmo.

Really a nice game.

4 4 4

Was kinda having fun, then it crashed (Said out of memory) :(

3 3 3

Ok, but would have been better with more obstacles to overcome, instead of being purely a sandbox game. Perhaps levels with specific objectives and constraints.

Great Job! It's a lot of fun to play. My mom talks about it all the time, too. ^_^

4 4 4

Nice sandbox, some interesting decisions about branches and routes.

This game was extremely pleasing.

As a sandbox, it's technically not quite a game - and yet, it was probably the most fun I had of any of the PyWeek games. There's room for divergent "strategies" and goals, and that goes a long way towards making a satisfying play experience.

This must be fun. I played it for 40min

A classic. :D

Quite deep game. Nothing to say since you already explaind everything in your postmortem.
According to me it would be nice to have different levels for this game, with win/lose conditions of course.

4 5 4

nice :)

This is quite a good game! It's a bit frustrating never being able to cross over different
coloured stalks, though. I understand that's meant to be part of the challenge, but maybe some
special bridging tiles could appear sometimes. Also, it seems that attacks just get more and
more intense the further out you build, until it becomes impossible. It would be more
satisfying if you could find the sources of the attacks and eliminate them.

Fantastic work! I love games where you have to build something and the game mechanics ensure that the player ends up building something really nice. The graphics are a great achievement. The creature really feels alive and comic. I love the game. My reason for a less than maximal "fun" score: the "bigger brain", "bigger ooze container", etc. organs don't add anything — in fact they kill the game once you reach them. So while the first half of the game adds more and more challenges and tools for dealing with it the second half keeps taking away from both. Hiding things in space for the player to find sounds like a good fix for this. My reason for a less than maximal "production" score: the UI is a bit bland and there is not much extra around the game — no difficulty setting, no maps, etc. This hurts replayability.

What can I say, this game rocks! I admit that I can fall for about any tower defense game, but the quirky graphics and the tile puzzle aspect really make this one stand out.

Considering that this was done in a week by you alone I can only rate it exceptional on all accounts. Brilliantly done!

nice graphic and i realy like the music ;) its a very nice game

What else is there to add...

Really cool game.

good game

Once again, Cosmologicon entirely fails to disappoint. The only thing I'm sad about is that my random game chooser brought it up so early and thereby deprived me of an awesome game to look forward to.

In its current state, Obb is a little too limited to be really open-ended, but loads of fun as far as it goes. I'd like to see a future version with a variety of objectives to work towards and maybe a storyline of some kind. That said, this is certainly one of the best little games I've played in the past year.

very fun.

The graphics were beautiful. The hexagonal tile branching thing was innovative. The
powerups were interesting. The music was good. I used song #4 when I was making a game a couple of
years ago actually. ;) Branching things can get a bit frustrating sometimes. The game was
kinda fun, but probably would have been more so if I had a goal rather than just exploring and
then getting blown up for it.

Really liked this one. Picking is kind of hard from time to time and it would add much to the game to be able to win or loose.
I will definitely play this again. I like the glowing eyes. Contains a "Tetris" factor were you always wait/hope for a certain part ;)

4 5 4

Great game, really! The only thing I can complain about is the memory leak that makes the game unusable in about 15 minutes on my computer.

4 4 5

I love this game :D Great fun, great graphics, great music. Hope it does well =]

5 5 5

A truly great sandbox game.
You went to the trouble of finding different music types, and having a switch between them. That kind of extra effort is rare, and appreciated. This one example of the attention to detail you gave is carried throughout the game. All of the button movements and keyboard commands were crisp and responsive. The descriptive overlay from the center obb was welcome and never annoying.

I have played Tower defense games before, though the constrained tile layout and organic growth of the plant with three coloured limbs was a novel and innovative take. I tip my hat, because the combination of these two, the innovation and production values made the game even more enjoyable.

I am awarding you full points on fun, because I caught myself playing this game for well over 2 hours and really enjoying myself. And if that isn't deserving of the highest honor, what is?

This was really quite a goo game and amazing to have got it done in a week, However to get a perfect 5,5,5 i would have like to see a better interface, especially being able to be full-screened, with less clunky scrolling.

I would also have liked to have some kind of goal, i can enjoy games that you cant win, but if you cant loose either or it doesn't get more challenging then it gets tedious quickly. In particular, you get to a certain point in the game and the number of enemies do-sent matter and you regenerate more quickly than you can build stuff.

This was really addicting. Although it crashes once in a while, I ended up playing this for hours.
