good to be a solo entry.

The entry did not work in Windows. It segfaults. I did try it in Linux, though. The gameplay is pretty basic dodging, but it falls apart because you can't see the rocks coming when you're at the top of the screen and one might fall right on the bubble without the player having time to dodge it.

could have a top ten for those who spent 1 minute playing it :)

1 2 1

silly gameplay, not very rich

2 3 2

The game window is to high, the task bar covers its bottom :(

2 3 2

Pretty fun and decent graphics, but at the hairy end you have to trust to luck in order to reach the surface.

2 2 1

The game window is too big on my laptop (1024x768).

2 2 2

Nice background image.

2 2 3

screen too big, and had to fix a fragmentation error

2 3 2

Oh, one more game that segfaults under Windows because of a silly little mistake in using the data.py incorrectly (load instead of filepath)? The gameplay could also be more interesting. On the plus side, at least the game looks decent.

2 2 1

Very simplistic, not very exciting to play... sorry.

2 2 4

Try to make some levels, and some in-between screens.

2 2 2

nice background!

1 2 2

A good first try.

2 2 2

Simple idea, not very challenging though. Too big for my screen.

2 2 2

Pretty good for your very first time with pygame, but as pyweek entry, I found it a little lacking.

3 4 3

Very pretty.

2 3 3

When your bubble gets near the top of the screen, there's no way of telling when a rock might be able to fall on you, so it becomes a matter of pure luck whether you survive.

Requiring an 800 pixel high screen was a bit inconvenient for me. I tried to reduce it in the config, but it caused a crash.

2 3 4

The really risk is getting hit just as you reach the top, when you can't see it coming. Because the challenge is outside of the player's control, it's less fun than it could be. Nice idea though.

1 2 3

Is there anything that would keep a rock from spawning on top of me?

2 2 1

The game was too large for my screen, and it was a little difficult to get to the top of the screen when blocks would randomly appear there, but the game is functional becides this.

Hey! Nice job on the game! As I'm sure you're aware, there's not a whole lot to it, but I think that's okay. You did some nice things with the game, as far as making a complete game. The best thing you did was keep a realistic scope for yourself, and not try to do too much. I would much rather play a small game that's completed, rather than a large framework of a game that doesn't do anything. I really liked how you were complete with making sure you did things right, as far as ensuring that you were able to use your source graphics and everything. That was good! I also liked the non-standard aspect ratio for the game, that gave it a nice feel.

2 2 2

+ The game looks nice on the screenshot.
+ Very on theme.
- It doesnt feel like you are steering a bubble.
- Not a big replay value.

1 2 2

mmm....

2 2 2

Well you finished a game, which is more than most can say. I liked the background. The game play was a little simplistic and it was annoying when the, uhh, things would appear and kill you right before you got to the top.

2 2 2

Needs some work...

1 2 1

.

2 3 2

Nice background.

2 2 3

Pretty good first effort!

3 2 1

simple game, but fun for a while. reminds me of the other entry "pyclimb", only faster

1 2 1

I like the background graphic. It makes the screen looks interesting. The concept of being a
bubble and having to go up is quite fitting the theme. Unfortunately the game play isn't very
interesting. After making it to the top of the screen a few times one has seen it all. Next time,
try to include more gameplay elements! That is not to discourage however: if the author has fun
and learned something (and the author is a beginner with PyGame) then that's great! When I
started making games I only had a single object to avoid, instead of multiple rocks.

too big for my scrren!

I tried to run this game under windows, but received following errormessage while trying to start the game: "Error: Inconsistent indentation detected! 1) Your indentation is outright incorrect (easy to fix), OR 2) Your indentation mixes tabs and spaces."

Clever. Could use some other elements to make the game more enjoyable. Nonetheless a great entry, considering that this is your first attempt with Pygame.

2 2 2

Too simple of a game perhaps, didn't enjoy it very much.
The biggest problem is perhaps that when you get close to the top, the chance of getting randomly hit by a new stone without ever knowing it gets too big.

1 2 2

Hope you're better equipped next time, decent first timer game - better than some :)

2 2 2

Good job for a first time.

2 3 2

Graphics are nice but the gameplay is very flat. When you reach the top it's just pure luck not to run into a falling rock because you cannot see what's coming.

Seg fault

2 1 2

Those are some funny rocks.

2 2 2

The stones could spawn on you when you're at the top, which makes it kind of random whether you make it or not. It would've been nice if it got increasingly harder too.
