Nice idea and really cool music. Shows what can be done with little resources. However, some sprites would have made the game a lot nicer.
Fun for a few minutes.

The spinning screen was an awesome idea. I wish that the arrow keys were kept stationary, rather than adjusting to the direction of the turn. It made some movement a tad difficult.

4 2 3

great music! a bit tiring in the end :)

4 3 3

This is pretty fun. Nice work. :)

A good shmup with great theme music (inspired by Katamari Damacy, perhaps?). :) Slightly lessened inertia for the ship might make the controls feel tighter.

3 3 3

funny.

2 2 2

The game needs to be more fun. Production need to be improved, better graphics, sounds and music.

Love the Nouveau Atari 2600 graphics. Game was pretty cool overall: enemies were interesting, "music" was interesting, look and feel were excellent, controls were responsive. My main complaint was it was just too hard--I think because the scene rotated independently of the controls and so the gamer loses their bearings easily (unlike other games where the player controls the rotation).

Funny ... but not fun.

Crashed a few seconds in with:

Really cool game. You did a great job!

3 3 4

Simple, but nicely implemented. Has a very old-school arcade flavour to it.

The rotating screen is definitely twisted, but I found it more annoying than fun, as it totally messes up one's reflexes.

4 4 2

everything fits together very well! Its a nice game for the occasional 5min boredom. I like the way you further explored the block-concept.. keep 'em coming

2 2 2

Having the controls be "screen relative" rather than "ship relative" (or "absolute" rather than "relative") might have made the game less frustrating.

4 2 4

Cool concept, kind of hard to control though (although that is kinda the whole idea. :)

4 3 4

Lovely sounds and music. :D

4 3 4

the controls are mad.

3 2 4

(BLOCK.zip) This was bizarrely fun. Mostly it screamed wacky, especially the music (although that became repetitive after about 10 minutes).

4 3 3

Wow i simply became addicted to this game from the music to the graphics.. Man you really can get the juice of those blocks

3 4 3

Good game. The music helped set the mood for the game. Thanks!

4 3 4

Very fun game! I loved the music and sound effects!!!! :-D

2 2 2

Sound effects are ugly.

3 3 3

Not much production in graphics but the music made up for it :)

3 4 3

More fun than your previous block jumping game! Found it quite hard, did only last to level 2 on
my first try (and now I cant play anymore because my mind is twisting) :)

4 2 4

Still haven't worked out the music problems:
UnboundLocalError: local variable 'music2' referenced before assignment

The game itself is cool and very innovative in terms oh pygame.draw use... You go eugman!

2 3 2

the all-familiar twisting level scheme..

data appeared twice in final zip

2 2 3

Um, ok. Nice soundtrack. Mostly this game is irritating.. it's challenging only because the controls are changing.

4 4 3

Awesome soundtrack. I've shown this game to so many friends, great fun.

4 4 4

Great game! I love the music.

2 2 3

I always seem to get green powerups only (no bomb recharge). The idea is nice. Being 180 degrees rotated and having the controls inverted gets a bit frustrating (even if it is the point of the game, I guess.
I liked how you did the music.

2 3 4

I .. I don't know what to say.

3 2 4

I like, but is difficult and twisted :-) !

4 2 4

Great graphics! Great music!

4 3 4

This is a pretty cool game. Twisting the playing field is a neat way of disorienting the player and making it harder to play. I don't really like how the weapons work, but that's sort of secondary.

2 2 3

The music is special.

2 2 1

I don't like the game, but the music is good :)

4 3 3

This is the kind of game I expect to see in pyweek. You have spectacular balence between production and gameplay. Some people worry too much about how their game will play and can't produce. Others work too much on the design and implimentation details that they forget they are writing a game. eugman has a great entry. Its sorta fun and its sorta made well. By made well, I don't mean his code is written poorly, I'm just saying he didn't worry about pretty graphical interfaces or splash screens or other areas of polish. He had his game in mind, knew exactly what was need to convey the information, and he implimented. Great job eugman.

5 5 5

wow realy good job, your best block game yet!

5 3 4

haha, this game actually cracked me up. I did pretty good until it twisted upside down, then
it's quite easy to get mixed up which way is wich.

4 4 4

Lovely music! The game is a lot of fun but there is something odd about the controls while twisting or my brain just can't adjust.. but I like it still.. dunn- dun-dun- dudunn...

4 4 4

Njaaaarg - I hate the controls not twisting with the screens - njaaarg XD .. Good Work! :D

3 3 4

Nice, even if I suck at it, especially when it's all rotated > 90°. Next time, team up with an artist - this seems to work perfect technically, so with matching artwork (I do like the simplistic look somehow, but still..) this would be a top entry.

3 3 3

Loving the sound. The graphics are alright, though the side panels could be presented better (I find I'm not on top of what is going on with them - they could be brighter/more contrasting). The arrows on the help screen also look a bit dodgy. It would also be nice if at the end the panels showed the end state, rather than a fixed state.

As for the game, the controls are the main challenge. Once you've got your head round them it gets quite a bit easier.

4 3 4

Good game for something that only uses blocks, the sounds are pretty cool too. Overall it's pretty fun.

4 4 5

SWEET INSANITY!
the soundtrack is awesome
gameplay is challenging

it needs level balancing though...
good job

3 3 4

The graphics are okay..
The controls are a bit difficult after some screen rotation, but I guess that's the whole point.
The interface is easy to understand.

And I like the background music, it's very funny ;)
