pgu-0.10.5

well, this is kind of a late release. but i just realized that pyweek is about to start!

this is primarily a bugfix release. any existing code you have should now work a bit better. some minor changes, but you can read about those in the CHANGES.txt ..

working prototype

yesterday I was thinking about having an adventure game with 13 some odd interactive screens.

fortunately, i reduced that number down to 5, and now have a working prototype of the game. once i give it a few run-throughs i'll move onto working on the real artwork :)

Colonel Wiljafjord and the Tarbukas Tyranny

Welp, we got it done just in time. Needless to say it was a lot of work! Just a few things to note:

F10 - Toggle Fullscreen
Any-Key can skip to the end of a cut-scene.
Have fun!

bugfix and funny screenshot

Hey -- I was glad to hear that my entry worked for most everyone. Unfortunately, due to a weird palette trick I was using, my entry didn't work correctly on a couple of systems out there. If you were one of those people -- you saw this on one of the screens:

I spent a bit of time trying to fix this bug and was able to reduce the problem down to this:

And after a bit more work, I got the screen working right. All the art now renders correctly.

So if you were one of those folks who the entry didn't work on their computer, you can either play my entry on a friends computer (where it will likely work) or download the bug fix.

add your project to pygame.org

I think Richard already mentioned this, but please add your game to pygame.org! (Especially if you are in the top 3-4 places. I'll be setting those as the spotlight in the next few days!)

FYI - some folks have had trouble adding projects to the pygame.org site in the past week, if that is the case for you, please try using a different browser. I'm not able to troubleshoot the issue right now, but I'll look into it when I get a chance in a week or two.

Great compo! See you again next pyweek!
